Goose Tracks

For this block you will need to use fabrics A, C, and F from your Blocks Kit:

Block Layout:

I enjoyed piecing this block.  It came together quickly, and I didn't lose any of my points! yay!  I did open my seams on those tiny half square triangles - other than that I just pressed my seams to one side.

Your blocks should measure 9.5" x 9.5" unfinished.  The best way to ensure you get that is to use a 1/4" presser foot!

Sandpipers Pocket Tote

Hi there! I am back to show you another version of the Posy Pocket Tote!  We had such a fantastic response - I wanted to make another one - but in a different line of fabric! This time I used Sandpipers by Sarah Campbell by Michael Miller.  I love this collection of fabrics - they are so serene and absolutely lovely.

Kit Available HERE

This tote gives off a whole different vibe from my last tote.  I love the subtlety of the fabrics in this bag.  That feather print - is my absolute favorite!
Kit Available HERE

There are three pockets inside the tote- which is a must for me! The more pockets the better! :)

I used this lovely Pearl print for the zippered pockets and I am loving the contrast against the darker blues!  Plus I feel so accomplished when I make a fully lined zippered pocket! It looks so pretty and looks like a lot of work - but really these pockets are pretty simple! Once you do one, you will wonder why you haven't tried it before!

This is definitely one of those bags that will go with most anything - the neutrality of the prints is what makes me love this bag so much.
Kit Available HERE

I hope you enjoy making this tote as much as I did! :)

Gentleman's Fancy

For this block you will need to use fabrics A, C, and E from your Blocks Kit:

Block Layout:

This was a fun block to piece.  I really love the design of this block.  LOTS of triangles - so be sure not to do any stretching when piecing or pressing this block!  My block is very stretchy- since this is pretty much all triangles! So I was super careful when pressing every step of the way.  I tried not to do any back and forth - just straight down pressing.  Other than that tip, I think this block was pretty straight forward! :)

Your blocks should measure 9.5" x 9.5" unfinished.  The best way to ensure you get that is to use a 1/4" presser foot!

Here is the schedule for the block of the month:

Block 1: Air Castles January 17

Friday Bundle Batch {Sooner or Later}

Hi there! We have a fun bundle of fabric to share with you today! I came up with a really easy and functional project for this bundle! Scroll down for the full tutorial! :)

Sooner or Later

This week's bundle uses pink & black coordinates with a cute clock print for the main focus!
You'll receive 8 Fat Quarters:
  1. Late for A Date Pink - Blend Fabrics
  2. Marble Swirls Jet - Moda
  3. Cotton Shades Carnation - Riley Blake
  4. Imagine White Plus's - Windham
  5. The Cat's Meow Pink Heart Swirl - Windham
  6. Botanical Beauty Smoke Script - Robert Kaufman
  7. Swiss Dots Hot Pink - Riley Blake
  8. Cotton Shades Phantom - Riley Blake

When I saw this bundle - I wanted to make something functional and cute! I came up with this simple bag/pouch especially to take your makeup on the go!

I don't know about you - but I tend to just throw all my makeup and brushes into a large pouch when I am traveling and it is a big fat mess!  I wanted to make something that had special compartments for my brushes and a zip pouch for my makeup!  The great thing about this - is you can personalize it by making the makeup brush pockets small or big as you want!

If you decide that you don't need a makeup bag - then you can easily use this for an art bag - just make the brush compartments the size for colored pencils - and you are set!  You can put a small coloring book or sketch book in the zipper and you have a cute little art caddy!

I pieced the front using the main print in the bundle! Those clocks are so much fun! I then had my binding fairy bind this for me!  This project has curved edges and so we used bias binding so it would go on smoothly!

Alright, let's get started.  Read ALL directions before starting! :)
